The ritual, sacramental action of thanksgiving to God which constitutes the principal Christian liturgical celebration of and communion in the paschal mystery of Christ. The liturgical action called the Eucharist is also traditionally known as the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. It is one of the seven sacraments of the Church; the Holy Eucharist completes Christian initiation. The Sunday celebration of the Eucharist is at the heart of the Church's life. (Catechism of the Catholic Church, p. 877)
At Our Lady of Angels, we offer Holy Eucharist to parishioners unable to attend Mass. Communion ministers bring Holy Eucharist to those who are in the hospital, in nursing homes, and to anyone unable to leave their home.

What is the Eucharist?
The night before He died, Christ gave us the great way of continually sharing in his death and resurrection by means of a meal, The Last Supper. Then He took the bread, said the blessing, broke it, and gave it to them saying, "This is my body, which will be given for you; do this in memory of me." And likewise the cup after they had eaten, saying "This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which will be shed for you." Luke 22: 19-20 NAB
